Newborn Photo Session in My Studio $250
PRINTS AND PRODUCTS SOLD SEPARATELY
The first few weeks with your little one are miraculous and fly by too quickly.
Photography taken during this time is intimate. It focuses on the details (your baby’s hands, feet, face) and the strong bond that’s already between you. Newborn babies have no idea that they are a separate person. The human face is the first and most important shape they learn and the sounds of human voices are very important to them even though they don’t understand why. Your newborn session has been developed with this in mind. I conduct low-key portrait sessions that are not jarring to babies (or parents!) and am adept at guiding you through a series of simple, artistic poses that are classically timeless.
The artwork we create together will transport you back to this magical time each time you walk by it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Newborn shoots usually last between 3 & 4 hours, plenty of time for feeding and changes.
Certainly! Bring along anything you’d love to see in a photograph with your baby.
Not at all. In fact, I prefer to take care of all the details for you and offer you a completed product, ready to hang.
My full product pricing can be found here.
Most definitely! I will usually try to photograph older brothers and sisters with your newborn first, then the whole family so that if they’re getting a bit fidgety, one of the parents can take them to a local cafe early leaving Mum and Bub with me in the studio.
Newborns are best photographed between 7 and 10 days old.
No, you definitely don’t need it. Most of my clients prefer to do their own makeup.
Some clients love it though! I work with one Hair and Makeup artist who works within my aesthetics. She can be hired for $150, payable directly to her on the day.
No, you don’t have to be in them. BUT… I really want you to consider it and I’m here to help! These are incredibly intimate photos and imagine capturing that intense connection and devotion in those first few days.
None. You just can’t know how many photos you’ll love until you see them and I don’t want you feeling locked in to a specific number.
Most people who come to see me for newborn photos though, are only after a few pieces of heart-centered artwork for their walls.
