No. Retouching exists for a reason. 

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING THIS?

Professionally for 6 years and IPS was founded in 2020. 

I DON’T WANT TO PAY FOR EXTRA PHOTOS SO CAN I JUST HAVE THEM ALL UNEDITED?

No.

CAN I EDIT THE PHOTOS MYSELF?

No.

HOLY SH#T YOU’RE EXPENSIVE!

Sure, I watch some people’s pupils dilate when I tell them my prices and I hear other people tell me I’m too cheap. I guess it all boils down to value. I know what it costs me to be in business and I charge accordingly. This ain’t no hobby, people.

As a professional, I work with professionals to raise the perceived value of their personal brand so that they attract their ideal clients  more easily. I work with people to help them create an anchor to their truth.

The return far outweighs the investment.

My services are more valuable than ever – and I’m worth it. But more importantly, So Are You.

WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE THE PHOTOS?

I photograph all my sessions tethered to my computer. We will take our time to review the shots together throughout the session and this will allow us to create the photos you require. If you are honest with yourself and me during the session we can’t go wrong.

If at the end of the session you still don’t like them, I’ll refund your session fee. Easy Peasy!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

You know, no 2 people are the same so that’s a tricky question to answer. I will send you a guide though with things to look out for like necklines, textures, layers and colours. 

CAN I BRING JEWELLERY?

Absolutely. You do you!

I NEED A HEADSHOT LIKE YESTERDAY! HAVE YOU GOT A RUSH SERVICE?

Why yes I do! If you’d like me to bump you to the top of my “todo” list and have your photo ready in 24 hours, it’ll cost an extra $75 per photo.

HOW DO I BOOK A SESSION?

Most sessions can be booked here on the website or by calling Amanda directly on 07 3466 3481 during normal business hours.

I’M NOT PHOTOGENIC!

Nope. Not having a bar of that.

A good photo has nothing to do with being photogenic and everything to do with being coached.

I will arm you with practical tips to help you look like the best version of you in a photo. A little knowledge goes a long way and you will never take a photo the same way ever again.

CAN YOU PHOTOSHOP THAT?

Are we talking about you here? Unless it’s a pimple, no. You really are ridiculously good looking just as you are! 

I get it though, you’ve got “that thing”; we’ve all got “that thing”,  but it’s usually only a thing for you. Unless you’ve got two heads – if you’ve got two heads, I am seriously going to want to photograph you! I’ve never photographed ANYONE with two heads before!

DO I NEED PROFESSIONAL HAIR & MAKEUP?

No, you definitely don’t ‘need’ it. Most of my clients prefer to do their own makeup.⁠

Some of my clients, however, really enjoy a little pampering & the results that a good makeup artist can deliver.

Professional Hair and Makeup can make or break a headshot.⁠ In fact, I only recommend one Hair and Makeup artist who works within my aesthetics.

 Carla can be hired for some Friday and Saturday Sessions for $200, payable directly to her on the day.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING MY SESSION?

I photograph all my sessions tethered to my pc, allowing you to view your photographs as they are being taken. I collaborate with you every step of the way from posing, expressions and help you design the best looks to guarantee your satisfaction. You will know what you are getting before you leave the studio, and you will love it.

ANY TIPS FOR DOING MY OWN HAIR AND MAKEUP?

HOW DO I PAY FOR MY SESSION?

I have a very easy online system. Payment of your session fee is required to add you to my calendar and is payable on booking. I accept Visa, EFT or Bank Transfer.

DO YOU ONLY SHOOT HEADSHOTS?

I specialise in photographing people and people come in all shapes, colours, sizes and ages. Get in touch to see if I can help you.

CAN I MIX STYLES?

Yes! You are welcome to mix it up! I shoot different styles of portraiture and most clients are looking for different photos that convey different feelings in their portfolios.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Cancellations require a notice of 7 days prior to booking date for a full refund of your deposit. Cancellation requests less than 7 days prior to scheduled booking will forfeit their deposit. This policy is in place because my studio holds your date and time just for you.

WILL MY PHOTOS END UP ONLINE ?

Not everybody is happy to have their images online. I will never publish any images without your permission. Your privacy is my priority.

DO YOU ONLY OFFER DIGITALS?

Not at all. In fact, I prefer to take care of all the details for you and offer you a completed product, ready to hang.

I offer a full price list to all clients.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?

Under normal circumstances, digital negatives are ready within 7 working days and printed products are ready for collection within 4 weeks.

DO YOU SAVE MY PHOTOS IN CASE I LOSE THEM?

Yes! I back up all ordered photographs in 4 separate locations for a minimum of 5 years.

But these days we know better – back up, back up, back up and preferably back up to a cloud.
